CorelDraw Graphics Suite 12.0 Terminally thin upgrade to the long-standing graphics all-rounder. Macromedia Freehand MX With its streamlined interface, seriously enhanced formatting, expanded toolset and improved integration, FreeHand is back with a bang. Microsoft Office XP Microsoft Office XP's online and collaborative tool improvements make it a smart upgrade for businesses and groups, but it's not worth the cost, time, and effort for single or home users. Microsoft Office X for Mac Uses Aqua features and adheres to Mac OS X standards; lets you customise key commands in Excel and select multiple, discontinuous text blocks in Word; Entourage interface is easier to navigate. Microsoft Publisher 2003 New designs, projects and output options boost Publisher's office-based publishing. QuarkXPress 6.0 The good: Mac OS X native; finally includes multiple undo; layout spaces; better tables and layers; full-resolution preview. The bad: Paranoid support policies; also-ran HTML and PDF handling; file compatibility problems; no printed manual; no transparencies or drop shadows.
